BS in Biotechnology

I’ve always wanted to be a scientist. I enrolled in Elms as a transfer student in my junior year after earning my associate’s degree in biology at HCC.
Coming to Elms, I really appreciated the small and extremely supportive campus community. It was very important for my education to have that system of support.
My advisor worked very closely with me to ensure I could handle my course load and live up to my full potential, and every professor I had was extremely supportive. I didn’t experience this at other schools.
Dr. Sudad Saman and Dr. Pamela Cote-Hammarlof were my most memorable professors. Both were so kind, supportive, and deeply cared about the success of their students. Both professors wanted each of their students to maximize their learning potential. In addition, Dr. Nina Theis provided me with numerous opportunities. Leading up to the day of my graduation, I felt thoroughly equipped to pursue my master’s degree in biotechnology at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering.
I recommend Elms to everyone I meet who is considering pursuing higher education. There is something there for everyone— a unique system of support, not only from faculty and staff but fellow students.
I am beyond grateful I found Elms. The college was crucial to my success and supported me in a way I didn’t think was possible. The only regret I have about Elms College is I wish I had gone there sooner.
