Dual major: Computer Science, Computer Information Technology & Cyber Security.

I had completed my associate’s degree in computer systems engineering and technology at Springfield Technical Community College. I heard about this program at Elms College after I finished my degree at STCC, and because of all the grants and scholarships offered, it just seems like the easiest and most accessible program to help me complete my bachelor’s degree.
Since I was about 16 years old, I have been interested in it and technology, especially gaming. That is what’s gotten me in the door here.
I was a C-student in high school. I was a C-student in my first run at STCC as well. I initially went there for a business degree, but I didn’t have the same level of interest as I expected, so I wasn’t as motivated to complete the coursework. I finally decided that IT and cybersecurity were something that I was greatly interested in and wanted to pursue.

Elms has greatly exceeded my expectations. The professors are really kind, and they all want to see you succeed, and they’ll give you as much of their time as they can to answer questions and to help you with any problems that you may have. It’s like having your own personal tutors in the way.
You’ll find you have small classes and tight-knit classmates. You can always ask your classmates for help. They’re very friendly, as friendly as the professors.
Before I met my professors, the students, or experienced the environment as a whole, I was not expecting my time at Elms College to be this heavenly.
This is a really great place to go to school. If you choose to go to Elms, it will be a great place to thrive.
