Being named Valedictorian is very special to me. There are a lot of talented individuals in the Class of 2025 at Elms College, so to be among the best of them is a true honor.
When I started at Elms College, I didn’t know if being valedictorian was in the cards. I wouldn’t say I was a super-brain at Hingham High School. It was important to me to put academics first. And I think the culture here allows for that, where if you put as much effort into academics as you put into your sport, it really pays off. Coming here really allowed me to find out what worked for me, and what worked was staying after for help. I found the faculty and staff are more than accommodating, and they really look out for you. If you are willing to put in the effort, they’re willing to teach you.
I don’t believe the perception that athletes are here only for athletics. Some of the hardest workers in the room are the kids on the sports teams because if they are not academically eligible, they’re not going to be able to play their sport. Playing a sport also teaches you good time management and working as a team, and those correlate to success in the classroom.

While in school, I also worked at Coldwell Banker Real Estate, and I want to pursue that full-time after graduation. I’m also interested in the fields of finance and retirement solutions, and insurance. Elms College really prepared me for that future by teaching me what I need to know about business, marketing, and how to be an entrepreneur.
One of the main benefits of Elms is that you really get out of it what you put into it. Whether in the classroom or on athletic fields, you’re going to have an impact. Because Elms is so small, and everyone knows everyone, you really find it’s a tight-knit community. Your professors will know if you miss a class; you’re not just a number. If you are falling behind, your classmates, your professors, and your coaches are going to look out for you.
