I chose Elms College to study accounting because of the experience of the professors and their willingness to meet with students. When I did my tour here in my senior year of high school, I met with the director of the Accounting program. As I was leaving, other students were coming in to talk with her about different classes. All of my professors have also worked in and have a vast range of experience with various types of industries.
What I found most valuable in my program was the connections I made with both professors and other students. With smaller class sizes, I was able to get to know my fellow students and professors over the 4 years.
Elms has helped me to determine what I want to do with my career. Discussions with my advisor and a few professors led me to realize that while I still want to work in the accounting field, the area of financial planning seems much more intriguing to me.
