    Amanda Garcia is the Director of Graduate Business Programs and the MBA, she also serves as Co-Chair to the undergraduate business division and associate professor of accounting and finance at Elms College. Amanda earned her B.A. in accounting from Elms College and her master of science in accounting from Western New England University. She teaches in the disciplines of accounting, finance, economics and entrepreneurship. She has owned a tax and consulting business for over 15 years, specializing in small business, rental properties, and tax planning for individuals with investments. Amanda is the treasurer for the IACBE Board of Directors. She is a 2010 Business West 40 under 40 awardee and volunteers with Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts, Young Professionals of Greater Springfield, and the Western Massachusetts Chapter of the MSCPA.

    Dr. Jacqueline Jamsheed is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Business Department at Elms College. Dr. Jamsheed holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Florida International University, a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Virginia’s Darden School and two undergraduate degrees from Syracuse University.  Dr. Jamsheed also holds a Certified of Public Accountant (CPA) certification.  Dr. Jamsheed joined Elms after four years of University-level teaching at another institution and 20 years of finance, accounting, risk and manufacturing experience working for fortune 100 companies both in the United States and around the globe.  Dr. Jamsheed has expertise in business transformation, operational management, due diligence, acquisition integration, international business, US GAAP technical accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, internal controls management, consolidations and financial reporting for US and Non-US based entities.  Dr. Jamsheed has worked and lived in over 30 countries encompassing Asia PAC, Europe and the Middle East. As a first-generation graduate, Dr. Jamsheed enjoys working with other first-generation students in addition to spending her time supporting causes that encourage college participation and college success of underrepresented groups.

    David Kimball earned his Sc.D. from the University of New Haven, Conn., and he has his BS, BA, and MBA from Western New England University. He is the Co-Chair of the Elms College Division of Business. Dr. Kimball is also the Co-Chair of the IACBE Accreditation held by the division. He co-authored the text Sport Management: Principles, Applications and Skills, now in its fourth edition. Dr. Kimball is interested in the role that mission statements play in building the role of being a globally diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization. He also applies his doctoral research on corporate mission statements to assist students in analyzing organizations such as Starbucks, Nike, LuLu Lemon, Amazon, and TESLA. Dr. Kimball mentors many graduate students as part of his Global Business and Corporate Social Responsible course in the MBA program.

    United Nations Peacekeeper, Retired Special Agent for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID), Have worked as a contractor for Voya Financial since 2009, Have been an Adjunct at Elms since 2015 (mostly teach international business courses), Met my wife in undergrad at Elms College who also has a Bachelor of Science Degree and MBA from Elms and we’ve been together since 2007 (fun fact).

    Gina has held nursing executive level positions in multiple home health and hospice organizations in Western Massachusetts. For the past 20 years, she has been an owner/partner of a national research and consulting firm that served community-based healthcare organizations throughout the country. She is certified in healthcare quality and a member of Sigma Theta Thau, Honor Society of Nursing. Now, in addition to being a faculty member of the Elms College, Gina operates her own consulting firm and advises other firms that provide services to health care organizations.

    Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held a number of diverse roles that allowed him to contribute and experience the full business cycle of a company. Jeff has been involved with product design, pricing, sales & distribution, service administration, corporate finance and investments, all in the financial services industry. Jeff also holds his Series 7, 24, & 66 licenses with FINRA, along with his CTP, CLU and ChFC designations.

    Tom is an experienced educator who has taught business courses at the bachelor’s and master’s levels at Elms College, Westfield State University, and UMass Amherst. He has worked in many roles as a leader and educator with the UMASS Extension 4-H programs in MA. Prior, he was a high school guidance counselor, and elementary school teacher. He served as Marketing Director for Chemlawn Corporation and as Director of the Ashland Conference Center. An entrepreneur, Tom launched “Blades,” a small engine repair business. His civic engagement in the town of Hadley includes 22 years on the School Committee and the Disability Committee.
