The C.A.G.S. in education is an enrichment program designed to promote the professional development of experienced teachers and community leaders who already hold a master’s degree. It offers you wide flexibility in program planning so you can expand your expertise in education and other academic fields, and meet your professional needs and goals.

Prerequisite

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Choose One: SOC 580 Racial and Ethnic Groups or EDU 652 Issues in ESL
  • EDU 516 Introduction to Technology in Education
  • EDU 610 Research and Professional Practice
  • Choose any seven electives (21 Credits)

Professional Licensure: Concentrations

For students seeking a graduate program in which to earn 12 credits of graduate work in their field of licensure, the Elms College C.A.G.S. program can be used to apply independently to the state for professional licensure. This program can also be used as an enrichment degree for professionally-licensed educators in a variety of fields:
