Elms College offers certificates, associates degrees, and bachelor’s degree programs 100% online. Whether you’re at home, on the road, or balancing work and personal demands, Elms Online can help you advance your education to reach your professional goals, finish your degree, change your career, or advance in your career.

The Elms Online programs meet all the general requirements of Elms College and are taught by Elms College and community college partner campus faculty- your online accredited certificate or degree is the same our on-campus students receive.

How It Works

  • You may apply to a program with the required official high school or GED transcript (certificate program) or an associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree
  • Satisfy the Elms’ core requirements
  • Complete your specific degree program or certificate course requirements
  • When you complete your selected program you are awarded the appropriate certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree

Program Schedule

  • All programs follow a cohort model. Students progress through the courses and curriculum with a core group of students providing a network for formal and informal peer interaction and networking
  • You complete your degree program in ten-eight week sessions over a 20-month period
  • You complete your certificate program in eleven-eight week sessions over a 21-month period
  • Classes start late August/early September of each academic year and continue throughout the calendar year

Elms College reserves the right to accept students based on state eligibility requirements. States require authorization for outside states to operate online programs within their borders; authorization requirements vary from state to state.

Requirements for SLPA vary by state. Prior to enrolling in this program, students must contract the state in which they plan to work to determine its specific SLPA requirements.

Are you new to online learning?

Students complete online classes at a time and pace most convenient to their schedule. SLPA courses also includes discussion forums scheduled weekly online in real time/synchronous, online and videoconferencing chats.

Elms College uses Moodle, an e-learning platform to deliver all course content: syllabi, blogs, chats, Adobe Connect access or similar web interface, class meeting notes, quizzes, tests, grades, lessons, presentations, and evaluations, to list a few. Using Moodle, Elms Online students can work collaboratively online, sharing course materials, group assignments and projects.
