This trend is expected to continue as the use of AI and machine learning becomes more widespread across various industries.

This program is designed to meet the increasing workforce demand for professionals with skills in data analytics and artificial intelligence, emphasizing both technical skills and ethical responsibility. Data Analytics is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific, mathematical, computational, and business analytic methods to process and analyze data. This innovative program will be of interest to students from many different backgrounds and undergraduate majors, including computer science, data science, biological sciences and biotechnology, business, social science research, and healthcare. The Data Analytics and AI MS graduates will be well-prepared to contribute to a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, insurance, marketing, and technology, among others.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Integrate data analytics into strategic business decisions
- Conduct risk assessment using analytical models
- Apply advanced analytical and statistical techniques to explore and interpret complex data sets.
- Use advanced data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools such as spreadsheets, Python coding, and business intelligence software, to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.
- Integrate ethical and responsible use of AI and data in developing solutions.
- Effectively communicate data insights to various stakeholders.

The master’s program consists of 10 courses (30 credits), 8 of which will combine required courses from the Business and NSMT divisions as follows: 3 courses from the Business division, 1 math course, 3 courses from CIT, and 1 capstone project course where students will be able to showcase what they have learned by completing a data analytics and modeling project. Students will choose two additional courses from a focus area. Courses will be asynchronous online in an 8-week format so that full-time students can finish the program in one year by taking two 8-week courses at a time, with 4 courses in the fall (2 in Fall 1 and 2 in Fall 2), 4 courses in the spring, and 2 courses in the summer.
