As the scheduler for interpreter and translation services at Baystate Medical Center, Tam is in charge of making sure that language experts are available to the healthcare system’s 1.8 million patients every year.
The healthcare management program at Elms College provides business management skills and the knowledge of healthcare delivery systems that you need to work in this growing field. The program integrates coursework in business, social sciences, and health services. Curricular strands in communication, cultural competence, and leadership are woven throughout the program. Today’s healthcare organizations urgently need to be effectively managed in terms of organizational issues, human resources, and costs.
The program provides knowledge and skills necessary for administrative positions in nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, managed care, and other healthcare organizations.
